Beer and Puppies

Top off your adventure packed Fairbanks day with a casual visit to the  Trail Breaker Kennel for Beer and puppies! A ticket includes 2 hours of unlimited puppy cuddles and playtime as well as a short presentation on the lifestyle of modern dog mushing by a local authentic dog musher guide. We have local (non-alcoholic and alcoholic) brews available for purchase.

Arrive at Trail Breaker Kennel

Follow the directions in your confirmation email to arrive at Trail Breaker Kennel. Parking is available at our tour site for those who drive their own vehicle.

The Beer Garden is open 5-7pm. We invite you to arrive come and go as you please during these two hours. At 6pm we will offer an optional 30 minute Kennel Tour and sled dog history presentation including Q & A session with one of our knowledgeable and authentic mushers. 

We know it is hard to say goodbye to the puppies, but at 7pm we are closing for the evening and our little ones are off to nap after enjoying the social event with our guests. 

 

End of Visit

Just because your visit is over doesn’t mean you can’t stay up to date with the mushers and huskies at Trail Breaker Kennel. Follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates from your musher guides and adorable husky photos!

Tour Details

Duration: 2 hours

Time: 5-7pm 

Price: Entry fee Adult 21+ $30/person, Minor 5-21 year old $30, Child 0-4 year old  $10. non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks available for purchase ($2-8/drink)

Capacity: 20 people max per tour

Age Restriction: All ages welcome, 21+ years old to be served alcoholic beverages. Any attendee under 21 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian throughout the entirety of this event. Please bring your photo ID.

Cancellation Policy: We require a 100% down payment for bookings. Cancellations and modifications can be made up to 24 hours in advance will receive a 100% refund. You can do so by following the links in your confirmation email. If you need to cancel your tour within that 24-hour window, email us at tours@trailbreakerkennel.com to receive a 50% refund. No-shows will be charged the full amount.

Military Discount: We offer a 10% discount for active duty and reserve members, and their dependents. Use the code Military at checkout. A valid ID will be required at the start of your tour.

Mobility: We work to provide everyone with a great experience, no matter their level of mobility. This tour requires some walking over uneven terrain. There are benches and chairs for those who need a rest. Our guides will also be there to help you as needed. We ask that you detail any mobility issues in your intake form when completing your booking. If you have any questions or concerns before your visit, email us at tours@trailbreakerkennel.com. We will be happy to chat with you to make sure you get the most out of your visit.

Transportation: We do not provide transportation. Guests must make their way to and from the kennel on their own. If you need transportation, we suggest using one of the taxi services in Fairbanks. On average, a taxi ride from downtown Fairbanks will cost $15-20 each way. For a list of the taxis in Fairbanks, click here.

Weather: Tours operate rain or shine. Be prepared for the unpredictable Alaskan weather by bringing layers and a raincoat.
